Rangitoto from Hotel Spencer on Byron......Sun Up..

We finally made it and captured our first Sun Up over Rangitoto Island and the view was amazing, humblest apoligies for taking over 3 weeks to update my blog but days and nights pass so fast here in the Southern Hemisphere when you have so much to do and expore. Just moving out of the Hotel Spencer on Byron in Takapuna was a feat in itself and moving into our new house in Hobsonville, taking on your personal effects also took its toll and a wet and blustery day was upon us for that task. But as the days progressed and each room got tackled we are finally there and making headway and can now take stock as to what little final touches are needed to our first Kiwi home which is a permanent home rather than a rental which somehow doesn't always feel yours to put the touches to it that gives it that homely feeling.

Anyway we are now settled and finding time to get around over the weekends now there is no upacking to do, and we have added another family member to the Jones family, We are now the proud owners of a Burmese Seal Kitten all of 7 weeks of age called Bella. We couldn't resist the temptation of her she was so affectionate and the kids won me over, still if it keeps the kids amused for hours what the heck !! Finally got our holiday booked for next year to the Bay of Islands in Jan 07 so we are really looking forward to that one, and will keep you all updated with more photos along the way.
