Holiday Park was the best so far we have been on in New Zealand, could not fault the site with its clean modern kitchen and toilets and showers. We had a pitch right on the beach front and shops were even close by in walking distance. Plenty to see and do around the local area and an onsite salt water swimming pool with hot pools to dip in as well for comfort.

Dawn Princess landed close by the camp site and it was an awesome sight for the kids to see at 119,000 tonnes., the biggest ship was yet to come to NZ and that was the Queen Mary II but we would be gone home by the time she arrived.
We will be returning soon hopefully to finish off some good attractions we never even got time to see in the week we were there, Kiwi360 is a local kiwi farm which was worth a visit, for $20 you can have a train ride around the Kiwi farm explaining the process along the way and even a bit of a wine tour and tasting was in the offering.
