Six Months In Auckland Still Loving The Dream !!!
Well I have to confess for my lack of updating our blog, but life moves so fast when your having fun and fun we are, the last six months in NZ has flown by with so much achieved down this part of the world. From Christmas through to bringing in a whole new year into 07 and so many garden parties we have had and arrival of our friends from the UK, Even down to a spot of sea fishing was to be had throughout the months of Jan, Feb and going into March with Snapper still to be had. So I finally got the Kayak out into the water on the North Shore and managed a take home a pan size Snapper, cleaned it all gutted and into the freezer for another day or maybe when i can conqueror up a decent recipe.
But life is still good out these parts of the Southern Hemisphere you cannot get bored or even into the working 6 days a week mode like the good old blighty days I was so used too, "as they say too much work makes Jack a dull boy" and we carn't have that now must get out of my old Pommie ways and get with the Kiwi mode, "You can never get too much lifestyle". I am currently exhausting Trademe for a bargain boat which will take me to even more depth and catch the big fish there is so much ocean out here and I only want a little piece, its not too much to ask for out of life. Adam our 19 year old son has just spent 2 weeks out in Kiwi land and tasted the life and he is now hooked on life here for the better, hopefully he will be able to get his tour of duty out of the way in Ireland and then move out here for good which will make his mum and myself have peace of mind.
From the picture above that is the Jones family enjoying a weekend trip away 1.5hrs drive away from Auckland to a pretty place called the Coramandel, which is pretty much hard to beat by my standards, the beach was virtually unspoilt and had maybe 6 to 12 tourists on at that time and so picturesque and quiet. Lots more to see and do and will try to keep up with the blog in the next few weeks.
