Roll On The Summer Months

Its been a while since our last update and we have hopefully seen the last of the Wet Winter months here on the North Shore and can look forward to some dry and sunnier periods in the coming weeks ahead. Its amazing how much rain can drop in a few hours here and very little drainage leaves our garden like a swamp and the kids hate not being able to play on the tramp but hopefully we are now through the worst months. Compared to what the UK have had over the last few weeks we have got off lite so we shouldn't complain too much, the weeks here have just flown by and we can look forward to more hot days like 2006. We are planning a family holiday now Ryan has returned home to Kiwi Land and is now with us permanently and we have started his Permanent Residency which hopefully he will have in a few months time, sadly it is not the same for Adam who is still in the British Army and finding it hard work to convince the powers to be he no longer wants to be part of the cloth and fight other people's wars and conflicts. But we shall remain steadfast and try our hardest to get him home so our family can become complete again after such a long period of absence by both of them. Soon also we are joined by our good friends Ann, Dean, Polly, Lucy who arrive early October and they too will start enjoying the fruits of New Zealand, Well I promise to try and keep up this blog over the coming months, with changes so far Sherren has been successful in obtaining work at our local Farmers store and that now takes up 5 days of her life now but the benefits outweigh the negatives of stay home mum and housework, She has got to know some good Kiwi friends now and is seeing more of life here rather than being a stay home mum. Hopefully with this in mind we will be able to enjoy a trip away to Oz or maybe we may end up travelling to the islands and maybe get to see down South at long last, we wait and see with bated breath and will keep you posted.
