SHAVE 08 Leukaemia & Blood Foundation

Well it has been a while again since our last update, life is such a buzz at the moment with our lives stacked with so much happening over the last 6 weeks. We have recently been helping out the Leukaemia
& Blood Foundation which asked the RNZAF for help in a fundraiser which we could not refuse to do, this is a charity close to many peoples hearts and we went into action on Friday 10th April in the local bases JR Ranks Club shaving as many Airmen as we could.

We tried to hard for a Female Ambassador to help us with the event but no takers I'm afraid so we eventually totalled up for the night with the local Camp barber Buzz doing the honours for us throughout the night, a total of $700 was raised on the night and all that was left was for me to turn up at the ungodly hour of 5:30am Friday morning for the TV3 Sunrise Weather presenter Tamati Coffey to help me Shave my hair for the charity on Live broadcast.

It was a well organised event with everyone enjoying the kids going through a haircut along the way to help Petra and Ryan the two children who have blood cancer. Hopefully from what we have learned we can go on next year and really do the charity justice and collect a greater amount than this year. Moving on to other happenings in our life here in Hobsonville we are still having some good days of sunshine, seriously looking at Real Estate now and would be great to finally put our roots down somewhere on the North Shore and with house prices dropping would be a great time to grab a bargain.

Not too sure on the new bald look now, but I can live with it for a few weeks after all its not permanent !!!
